How to Write Your Testimony
Answer the following five questions, and then combine them into a single essay. Some people use their testimonies to make their own personalized Gospel tract.
1. When were you saved?
This helps people understand that salvation occurs at a point in time when you accept God's invitation to save you. You are not Christian because you are born into a Christian family or gradually become a Christian over time.
2. What helped you become a Christian?
Describe how important people or events helped you make the decision to become a Christian.
3. Why did you become a Christian?
Explain why you thought it was important for you to make the decision to become a Christian.
4. How did you become a Christian?
Explain what you did to become a Christian. This is your opportunity to share with others how to accept God's invitation too.
5. Why do you encourage others to be Christians?
Explain why someone else should become a Christian and how important it has been to you to be Christian.
