Jeremiah Wax is a senior political science major from Bryant, Arkansas.
In addition to his leadership in Students for a Free Tibet, Jeremiah
participated in the TEXT: Tibetans in Exile Today oral history project
during which he had the opportunity to interview the President of the
Tibetan Youth Congress. Vice President Angela Moore is a senior environmental, soil, and water science and
biology major. Angela also participated in the Tibetans in Exile Today
oral history project during the summer of 2008. She filmed several of
the interviews recorded at the Drepung Loseling Monastery in Mundgod,
India.![]() Secretary Ryan Boswell is a senior biochemistry major. In addition to his
leadership in SFT, he is involved in OMNI UA, Norml, and other
organizations working to promote sustainability and progressive
politics. Ryan can sometimes be spotted walking his rabbit with his
fiancée. Treasurer ![]() Rachel Williams is a graduate student in French from Tulsa, OK. As a participant in the TEXT oral history project she had the opportunity to meet the President of France-Tibet while filming a protest in New Delhi. She plans to continue her invovlement in the Free Tibet movement while working in France next year. Faculty Advisors Dr.
Sidney Burris is a Professor of English, Director of Honors Studies for
Fulbright College, and Director of Religious Studies. He is a
co-founder and director of the Tibetan Cultural Institute of Arkansas
and the TEXT oral history project. Dr. Burris also maintains a blog on
Tibet.![]() Geshe Thupten Dorjee teaches courses on Tibetan philosophy and
culture and non-violence. He is co-founder and director of the Tibetan
Cultural Insitute of Arkanas. Geshe Dorjee received the Outstanding
Professor Award in 2008 with a record number of student
recommendations. Geshe Dorjee also leads a meditation group for the
public each Sunday and regularly holds other lessons, meals and
meditations for students and the public. | ||||
